Fear of constipation? No more! Get Rid of Constipation by Drinking these Juices.

Constipation is one of the most common digestive disorders in the population and, in fact, the number of affected patients is higher than that of those with mild gastrointestinal diseases. It occurs when the intestine has alterations in its functioning. These slow down their movement and prevent the evacuations from occurring optimally. Keep reading this post and say goodbye to constipation!

As a result, waste is being retained in the colon and, after several days, symptoms such as inflammation, gas, and pain are derived. This may be due to the difficult digestion of some substances in the food, or to the hardening of the stool due to dehydration. When a person does not evacuate frequently and has difficulty doing so for more than 72 consecutive hours, it is considered that they have constipation. Remember that it is normal to have more than 3 bowel movements per week. However, this can be treated with a diet rich in fiber, good hydration and some remedies for constipation properly.

The scarce and hard stools are one of the most obvious signs of constipation. While each person has a different frequency to go to the bathroom, depending on age, weight, and type of diet, when a person is not able to expel stools more than 3 times per week, you have to pay attention.

Although it may be a case of isolated constipation, due to some transient factor, chronic constipation can also occur. In these cases, daily activity is affected due to the appearance of other symptoms such as headache, nausea, abdominal inflammation, and so on. Digestion is the process by which foods and beverages are broken down into their smaller parts so that the body can use them as an energy source, and to form and feed the cells.

Although it does not always represent a serious problem, it is necessary to provide a treatment to prevent it from occurring chronically, as it can interfere with the quality of life. Fortunately, there are several juice recipes with laxative properties that, without causing adverse reactions, accelerate the relief of this problem to prevent complications.

Remedies for constipation

In most cases, constipation occurs due to the combination of the following factors: dehydration, poor diet, and a sedentary lifestyle. To fight it, obviously, the first thing we must do is try to take better care of these factors; that is, take care of the diet, increase the water intake and the frequency of exercises. You can also resort to some remedies for constipation, as complementary measures.

Remember that remedies for constipation (or any other condition) of a natural kind, should not be taken as the main treatment, but as supplements. On the other hand, we must avoid self-medication of commercial laxatives, since we can create dependency and suffer various side effects.

Here it is important to note that a single glass of coconut water gives you 17% CDR of potassium, a fairly high figure compared to some sports drinks.

A study that compared the consumption of coconut water, water, and a carbonated sports drink after exercise, found that consuming coconut water had effects very similar to sports drinks in terms of rehydration.

Also, the coconut water caused less nausea, discomfort, and heaviness of stomach, and had a more pleasant taste.

And, thirdly, another reason that makes coconut water a super moisturizing and healthy drink is its low content of calories and sugar, the latter also in a natural way.

In another study, it was stated that coconut water can be used as a rehydration drink in children with diarrhea and symptoms of dehydration.

Are you lucky to live in a tropical country?

Take advantage and use this elixir to avoid dehydration whenever you can (I would like to have this rich fruit at my fingertips ...).

2. Acts as a Natural Antioxidant

At this point, surely most of those who follow me already know the damage that these molecules called free radicals to do.

But just in case you do not remember: free radicals are reactive molecules that cause oxidative stress and can cause significant damage to lipids, proteins and even DNA, as well as being a risk factor for numerous diseases.

The human organism has its own "antioxidant system" through which it maintains a balance between oxidation and antioxidation, but the intake of foods rich in antioxidants plays a decisive role.

Currently, the antioxidant properties of coconut water have been tested mostly in animal studies, which have yielded interesting results:

Reduction of hepatocyte oxidation (liver cells) and consequent protection against free radicals. Reduction of oxidation caused by a diet rich in fructose and decreased levels of triglycerides and insulin, as well as blood pressure.

And is that coconut water is rich in phytohormones, vitamins, free amino acids and other active compounds with a great antioxidant effect.

3. Prevents Digestive problems

In addition to rich, moisturizing and nourishing, coconut water can protect your digestive system against certain disorders that can be very annoying.

For years, coconut water has been used in several countries as a natural remedy for its properties when it comes to treating cases of indigestion, intestinal parasites or constipation, among others.

Also, and as I have mentioned before, there is also scientific evidence on the use of coconut water to treat dehydration in children affected by diarrhea.

4. Contributes to reduce fluid retention

Fluid retention, also known as edema, is an excessive accumulation of fluid in the body that often causes inflammation in the extremities (hands, feet, legs, or ankles).

The causes can be several, but if it is not a serious situation, fluid retention can be reduced with some changes in diet.

For example, the intake of foods rich in potassium, such as coconut water, helps to increase the excretion of urine, while reducing sodium levels in the body.

In other words, coconut water can be considered a natural diuretic.

5. Reduces the risk of kidney stones

The intake of coconut water can be very good for people prone to kidney stones. Lithiasis, the name was given to the formation and accumulation of stones in the kidneys, occurs when certain mineral residues present in the urine crystallize.

Drinking an insufficient amount of water or, simply, genetics can be some of the causes of stone formation.

That said, some experts have studied the effects of coconut water on rats with kidney stones and have observed that this drink prevents the crystallized minerals from adhering to the kidneys, which facilitates their expulsion.

However, it is still necessary to conduct more research with human beings to really test the effectiveness of coconut water in this field.

6. It is an optimal source of manganese

A single cup of coconut water gives you 17% CDR of manganese; 2 cups already give you 34%. Manganese is a very important mineral for the organism and participates in numerous processes such as blood coagulation or the formation of connective tissue.

Manganese deficiency increases the risk of infertility or bone malformations, among others, and when we maintain appropriate levels of manganese in the body we can avoid:

  • Arthritis.
  • Osteoporosis.
  • Premenstrual syndrome.
  • Diabetes.
  • Epilepsy.

7. Regulate the tension

Having high blood pressure is an increasingly common problem among the population and is one of the biggest causes of heart disease. In one study, the hypertensive participants were divided into four groups: one consumed coconut water, another bottled mineral water, another consumed mauby and another a mixed drink of mauby and coconut water.

At the end of the study, these were the results:

  • 71% reduction in systolic pressure and 29% in diastolic pressure for the coconut water group.
  • Reduction of 40% in the systolic pressure and 40% in the diastolic pressure for the mauby group.
  • Reduction of 43% in the systolic pressure and 57% in the diastolic pressure for the group of the mixed drink.

Also, coconut water is rich in potassium and magnesium, two minerals that have been shown to promote the regulation of tension.

Magnesium contributes to the prevention of hypertension by stimulating the dilation of blood vessels and is effective in reducing both diastolic and systolic pressure.

Potassium, in turn, can regulate tension in hypertensive patients as well as in people with normal levels of tension and tends to reduce the need to take antihypertensive drugs.

8. Delays Aging

Coconut water is becoming popular at great speed for all its health benefits and its anti-aging effect is one of the major causes of this growing reputation.

This food is an ideal source of cytokinins, a plant compound associated with the reduction of aging of human cells.

Cytokinins are a phytohormone capable of slowing the process of degenerative aging that our cells suffer when we reach a certain age.

9. Improves the symptoms of diabetes

Several studies carried out on animals have shown that the regular consumption of coconut water can cause marked improvements in the symptoms of diabetes.

Apparently, drinking coconut water helps keep blood glucose levels at bay and reduces levels of glycosylated hemoglobin.

On the other hand, it has been observed that the supply of coconut water in diabetic rats contributes to reducing blood glucose and certain markers of oxidative stress. However, it is still necessary to carry out more research with human beings.

10. Other benefits

The list of properties of coconut water is long:

Increased body defenses and prevention of infections caused by microbes or bacteria.
Reduction of the risk of several types of cancer by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and tumors.
Protection against cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks or strokes.

Foods Rich In: Vitamin D

A List of Healthy Foods Rich In Vitamin D.

Nowadays many people are deficient in vitamin D, which is one of the most important nutrients that the body needs.

Over time this can lead to a great range of illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, autoimmune diseases, arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, osteoporosis and many more.

The body needs Vitamin D in order to absorb important minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphate.

In today's video we will share with you a list of the best healthy foods which are rich in Vitamin D

Eating these regularly will help your liver to store more vitamin D, making you healthier overall.

1. Sunlight

Sunlight is the main and most important source of vitamin D. When your skin is exposed to ultra violet rays (UVB) it creates vitamin D and stores this in the liver. Always be careful to not overexpose your skin and get sun burn.

2. Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil

This is the best food source supplement of Vitamin D. It also contains Vitamin A and Omega 3 fatty acids. These work to strengthen your teeth, bones and eyesight. Look for a high quality unprocessed raw cod liver oil for the best effects.

Drinks for: Intermittent Fasting

11 drinks for intermittent fasting.

When you are intermittent fasting it is important to drink lots of fluids to keep the body hydrated.

Your body will require more minerals and nutrients in order to cleanse itself and improve your health.

In today's video we will share with you a list of healthy drinks for intermittent fasting.

You can drink these throughout the day without breaking you fast.

These can also be consumed when following the Keto diet, OMAD diet (one meal a day) or any low carb regime.

1. Green Tea:
An ancient drink made from Chinese herbal leaves which can be drank throughout the day. It helps you to feel fuller for longer by increasing a hormone in the brain called dopamine. It also contains compounds which helps your body to tap into its fat reserves for energy.

2. Lemon Water:
Infusing water with a few slices of lemon makes for a healthy citrus tasting drink. This helps the body to digest food from previous meals and reduces the risk of kidney stones. It also lowers uric acid levels to prevent gout and crystals forming in the joints. The high vitamin C boosts the immune system which protects your body from infections.

3. Bone Broth:
One of the healthiest drinks in any diet, bone broth supplies the body with electrolytes. Electrolytes are important when fasting, as the body can burn through these quickly. A cup of bone broth perks you up and reduces feelings of tiredness and fatigue.

4. Mineral Water:
Look for a good quality mineral water, preferably from a volcanic source. This water supplies trace minerals and electrolytes to keep you feeling energised throughout the day. Water is one of nature's most powerful healers.

5. Black Coffee:
Black coffee contains polyphenols and compounds which can help you to lose more weight. Consuming 1-2 cups per day will help you to feel more relaxed, however you should not over do this. Too much caffeine can over stimulate the body by producing too much adrenaline. If you wish to sweeten, add a teaspoon of Xylitol or Erythritol or Monkfruit powder.

6. Matcha Tea:
This is a super concentrated form of green tea which is grown in Japan and has been used by Monks for centuries. It boosts energy levels, triggers healing at the cellular level and boost metabolism. This helps the body to burn fat faster, but has a higher cost than regular green tea.

7. Black Tea:
Regular black tea will not break a fast and can help you to feel fuller until your eating window. It also contains small amounts of caffeine which will boost your mood.

8. Unsweetened Almond Milk:
Many people wish to add a little creaming agent to their tea or coffee. Regular milk is not recommended as it contains a small amount of sugar. Unsweetened almond milk can be used, but be sure to check that the product has no hidden or added sugars.

9. Peppermint Tea:
This contains a natural occurring compound called menthol. This can help to speed up the process of fat burning and boost the metabolism. It can also prevent constipation during intermittent fasting which is a common issue. Kidney function is improved when drinking this every day.

10. Carbonated Water:
Carbonated water is also known as "sparkling water". This is excellent to drink during a fast as the carbonation helps you to feel fuller and more satisfied as the gasses produce a pleasant feeling in the stomach. Feel free to add a slice of lemon or lime to this to this for a zingy flavour.

11. Apple Cider Vinegar:
Last but by no means least, apple cider vinegar is the most powerful healing liquid in the world. Adding a teaspoon to a glass of water helps the body to absorb more nutrients from previous meals. The acetic acid heals the stomach from digestive disorders and boosts friendly bacteria in the intestines. This fluid is the number 1 weight loss aid ever discovered.

As you can see there are plenty drinks that you can enjoy throughout the day whilst intermittent fasting.

Do not add honey or any form of sugar into these drinks, as they will spike the insulin hormone and break your fast.

You can add a small amount of xylitol or erythritol if you wish. These are sugar alcohols which do not break a fast.

Diet sodas should also be avoided as these contain aspartame and other artificial sweeteners which can stimulate insulin.

If you do happen to feel sluggish during your fasting it is likely that you are low on electrolytes. Take a 1 litre of water, add 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar and drink over the course of an hour. This will supply your body with sodium and potassium to correct your electrolyte imbalance.
